Our Programs
We believe that the education is the cornerstone of opportunity for anyone, and we look to encourage education through trade and skill programs, that can lead to the stimulation of a family unit and a community. Our programs are broken into 3 different areas, all of which are designed to impact youth and their families.
ACE After-School Program: In conjuction with Orange County Public Schools and UCF, we offer 2 after-school programs at the OCPS Academic Center for Excellence in barbering and braiding/locs known as the ACE Cutz and Braiding Academy. This school year-long after-school program gives students the opportunity to gain a skill that can lead them directly into the workforce after high school. In addition to learning the skills and technical side of the craft, each class is also given business building tools and activities to show the students how to successfully run their own barber or salon business.
City of Orlando Skill Programs: Through our partnership with the City of Orlando, we offer introductory barbering and braiding classes for the middle and high school aged teens at neighborhood centers around the city of Orlando. These classes are free of charge to any youth that want to be involved, and are designed to give the youth of these communities positive activities to spend their time and encourage them in the direction of trade skill career.
